Program Details: The program will by emceed by Bill Kurtis of WBBM-TV and includes a performances by the children of the Tibetan Alliance of ChicagoAni Choying will also give a special performance. Program Details: The Dalai Lama will join Rabbi Michael Lerner, founding editor of the progressive Jewish interfaith magazine Tikkun, which is dedicated to building bridges between religious and secular organizations; Dr. Ingrid Mattson, Hartford Seminary Professor of Islamic Studies and Christian-Muslim Relations; and Rev. Peg Chemberlin, executive director of the Minnesota Council of Churches in a panel discussion entitled “Building Bridges: Religious Leaders in Conversation with the Dalai Lama.”  The panel will be moderated by Eboo Patel, the founder and executive director of the Interfaith Youth Core, a Chicago-based international nonprofit that aims to promote interfaith cooperation. >MORE: click here for panel bios

Arrival: Due to security considerations, we ask that you please arrive at the events early each day, as all ticket holders must be searched upon entry. Doors will open promptly at 12 noon on July 17 and 8am on July 18. Please do not bring large bags or backpacks to expedite the security process.

Cameras and Recording Devices: Cameras and recording devices will not be allowed into either venue. There will not be faciilties at either venue to check personal belongings. Please understand that this will be strictly enforced.
